sixty-four

My dad turned 64 in June. Last year he mentioned that all he wanted for his birthday was for all his grandkids to sing him "When I'm Sixty-Four." With grandkids in three different states, we made a video. He loved it and maybe got a little teary. We all love Papa.

(this was my first time editing a video i.e. don't judge it too harshly! and elliot says "agua con gas" instead of "bottle of wine" because they went to spain with my parents and that's what my dad always ordered. i think that's the story anyway.)

Papa, you're 64. from Abby Sharp on Vimeo.

Wow, that was amazing! Your talents never cease to amaze me, Abby. I bet your dad loved it. You're such a sweet daughter:)

I love Pearl's confused look throughout... adorable:)

I feel so cool that I've seen this before you posted it on your blog. But, that is only because I was stalking you on vimeo. :)

It's perfect. I love it. You are so talented. And creative. And you have a darling family (your own and also your sisters and theirs). Too bad my dad is past the age of sixty-four otherwise I'd have David copy you. Milo is getting so old. He looks and seems older when he's with his big cousins. Pearl still has my heart.

maybe Cole and I also got a little teary. is that weird? yes, yes it is, you don't even need to answer that.

and I also loved watching your kids starring off into another direction (at you?) whilst the other sang. and pearl's look of confusion had Cole and I doubled over.

so cute. what a great idea!

this is so cute abby! I love the name part. and also the part where pearl seems high.

My mother in law is turning 64 this year...only she barely knows who the Beatles are! she might have grown up in a cave??

Thanks everyone!

Reba, I used Windows Movie Maker? I think? Just whatever came with our computer.

Every time Pearl watches this she says, "I was feeling a little shy." it was definitely not typical Pearl!

a few things:

a. your sister with the dark hair looks JUST like you... or is it the other way around? this is prove that you would look awesome with any hair color/length.

b. i love how pearl looks like she has NO IDEA what is going on.

c. the kids all have rad names.

d. this is the cutest birthday present ever! good job, abby!

How cute is that! I may steal that idea for my dad when he turns 64. If I can still remember four years from now! :D That was awesome.

Such a great idea Abby! You are one talented and very adorable Mom and director/producer! Your Dad will love it until he's 105! After that, I'm not sure he'll love anything. Great Job!
