it takes some time to figure out that livin life is all that life's about

my blog managers(kate lines and kate bueler) tell me it's time to blog again. so i will! but totally their fault if i bore you.

we went to colorado over the weekend to visit jamie's grandparents. it's always a nice time there and i always get the feeling like i belong there. not necessarily colorado, but the "country." i know that's where my husband belongs for certain.

this is probably the last time we'll be able to visit them in that house so i took some pictures of the little nooks and crannies of their home.

as i was doing dishes at this window saturday morning, a beautiful red fox, speckled with orange and white, ran across the lawn.

jamie's grandma is something special. she stayed up late at night telling us stories from the good old days of ranching and farming. at one point she stopped and sighed, "just thinking of all the living we've done makes me tired." she said it rather forlornly, but i appreciate the sentiment. if only we could all be living so much!

One of your blog managers took photos of David's mission companion and his wife recently. The ones in the library are darling, don't you think?

You do such a great job with your photos. That little cowboy hat is to die for, and so are your kids' little faces.

You should plan to blog every time I am in a 2.5 hour class!

As one of your blog managers, I approve this message.

Looks like a great weekend. I only have one living grandpa, and I'm praying he'll be able to be around still when I have kids.

I love this post. very much. for reasons I'm sure you can guess. We have not been able to make it over there for years. When my mom told me recently they had sold the place and had to move (April?) a part of me was mad she didn't tell me they were selling it or would have liked to have bought it. Reality is Brian would not have a job there so it would be completely impractical, but the artist in me says "so what?"

I love Grandma's house. Wherever Grandma and Grandpa were was the best place to be. Nobody told me they sold their house. I only learned it was for sale when I went after Christmas. Why does nobody ever tell me anything? I will miss that place. Your photos are beautiful, and so are you. And your blog is never boring.
