Step, bump. step, bump bump.

cousin norah and pearl started dance last week. they were pretty giddy.

pearl talked the entire class. while the other girls did graceful little steps and sweeping arms, pearl used her loudest voice to interrupt the teacher with important thoughts like, "DO YOU, DO YOU, DO YOU KNOW WHAT COLOR EYES I HAVE? BROWN. I MEAN... HAZEL." also, referring to norah, "THIS IS MY SISTER." teacher: "oh? i thought you were cousins." "YEAH. YEAH, COUSINS AND SISTERS. OK I'M GOING TO COUNT EVERYBODY NOW. ONE, TWO..."

she honestly did not stop talking. it was a good mixture of funny and train wreck and i had to stop watching because it was all so very contrary to my personality. i was the seen-and-not-heard type of child. so naturally i blame jamie. he can take her to dance next week. (if they don't kick her out.)

I just laughed really hard. I have the flu so not much is funny, but that...funny. I think we are kindred spirits abby (seen not heard child...blessed with spirited heard and seen children). only your spirit is way cooler than mine.

i would like to see the 2 sisters do the "step, bump. step, bump bump" move.

Hilarious! Yes, her personality is quite far removed from yours at that age. I really want to sit in on Norah and Pearl's dance lessons. AG

Hah hah! That is SO Ethan at his gymnastics class-- all the other kids calmly follow directions and are sweet and graceful and QUIET, and Ethan's the ball of energy, bouncing off the walls!

She has the perfect runway ballerina bun. Seriously, with all the flyaways along her hairline. It's perfect!

The pictures paired with the anecdote is just too much cuteness for me to bare.

her stance is perfect! i need some lessons in grace from that little lady!

p.s. i hate the word "cute" and yet... i use it ALL the time. another goal for the new year.
