I just read your new friend Janae's blog post and tears fell when I saw Milo and Pearl and their new friends. That made me happy. The church building looks nice. The views from your house are lovely. I keep transporting myself to your island in my mind.
Have a fantastic day! much love

It looks so amazing! I can't believe that's what you see when you look out your window. So... would you open the hatch or not?

I was thinking about you...which may sound either totally normal or totally creepy...and your new situation and it reminded me of my jaunts over seas. The first 3 months are hard and then you ease into this amazing rhythm. I promise. Enjoy and please, keep the photos coming!

Questions:
1. How did Jamie's first day go?
2. Are your beds comfortable?
3. Is the weather always hot and sticky or does it cool down at night?
4. Does your TV work? What shows can you get?
5. Can you always use the internet or is it spotty?
6. Have you met the neighbors in the 4-plex?
7. Is Janae's husband the only medical student in your branch?
8. Are you really going on a catamaran on Wednesday?
9. Why does my google account go away every couple of days, and I become anonymous again?

How exciting! Congratulations to you! I'm jealous. I was a geography major you know (emphasis on WAS, as I am now very much a graduate). Cole and I just talked about how much we'd love to live somewhere with a new culture. Enjoy!

dude. find the hatch with desmond, puhleaze. then graham and i will come and stay in it for a few days.

or just maybe camp out in your back yard. :)

p.s. we went to an island off of puerto rico a few years ago, and this TOTALLY reminds me of that one. jealous.

Wow I can't believe how much your lives have changed in a week! Didn't we just see you, and now you're off on your new adventure, so crazy, but looks like lots of fun already, I think you need a sparkly green bikini, you know to fit in with the locals!

Emily said...

Oh snap. It's Milo's birthday. We'll call tomorrow. Sorry!

Abby -- I blogstalk you, and love your photos and funny narratives. I wanted to tell you to look up Ben and Sally Blackham, who are missionaries from our ward, serving on St. Kitts and Nevis. I believe they are due to come home next month. They should be at church, and are great people. Sally will give you lots of suggestions for surviving and thriving in the islands! Best of luck! Is AG your mom? Her comments are the best. I love #9. :)

I'm so glad you guys met another family in the branch. I looked at their blog and they seem like a ton of fun.

David and I have joked (half joking, really) about him applying to St. Kitts or Grand Cayman right now (before graduating, etc.) just to see if there would be any way he'd get in and if he did we would probably be tempted to just leave right now. Your photos and stories make me even more tempted to do that.

I got really excited when it looked like you were posting daily. Please don't let me down. I know I owe you an email. Are you waiting by your computer day and night?

Don't you LOVE the yellow church building!!!!!!?

David got a film camera off of KSL. He's so excited. Maybe you can give him some pointers.

I have a Christmas and Thank You card for you. Do you know your mailing address yet?

Maybe I don't have to email you anymore since this is forever long.
