i'm just dying over the clothes katie makes her girls. dying. i want to make cloooooooothes. do i need a serger to make these kinds of things? someone please chime in and tell me no.
the clothes and girls are gorgeous, I especially love the dresses with the ruffley collar. No you definately don't need a serger, clothes are tricky, I'm sure if you got in over your head Pam would be a good resource! Wish I could help, but I'm not good with patterns.
I don't know, but my friend Amber makes things for her little boy on her sewing machine. Her favorite site is Made by Rae (madebyrae.blogspot.com). You might want to check it out and see if there are any patterns up there that interest you.
UGH. i am so overwhelmed by these pictures. way too cute. i want to sew! maybe my goal this summer (since my machine is at home) will be to learn how to make sense of a pattern. they are so confusing.
Abby, thank you for stopping by my blog. I of course then had to jump on over to yours and I must say, you are quite darling yourself! You have gorgeous funky style, an adorable family, and I know I'll be stopping by more often now. xo, Michelle
Don't think you need a serger, but some talent and patience couldn't hurt:) I'm not sure how much I have of either, even though I've made some clothes in the past:)

You have a perfectly good sewing machine to make these clothes. I will help you this summer.

These are darling. Please have Amye and Kelly help you make doubles of everything for your sister.
I want to learn to sew someday! Cute clothes!
I can't believe you're going to live in another country. You will have so many cool experiences. Can't wait to hear where you're going!

Those little flared shorts are too cute! Abby, if you figure out how to make them, I'll pay you to do some for Cierra (:

I sewed for many years without a surger. I am sure you could do it without.
