i'm just dying over the clothes katie makes her girls. dying. i want to make cloooooooothes. do i need a serger to make these kinds of things? someone please chime in and tell me no.
You have a perfectly good sewing machine to make these clothes. I will help you this summer.
no. i'll help you too if you want.
the clothes and girls are gorgeous, I especially love the dresses with the ruffley collar. No you definately don't need a serger, clothes are tricky, I'm sure if you got in over your head Pam would be a good resource! Wish I could help, but I'm not good with patterns.
Katie Did..well! Super cute! I too wish I could join the ranks of amazing sewing queens. Good luck! :)
I don't know, but my friend Amber makes things for her little boy on her sewing machine. Her favorite site is Made by Rae (madebyrae.blogspot.com). You might want to check it out and see if there are any patterns up there that interest you.
can someone tell me what kind of sewing machine i can get that doesn't cost a fortune but does the job?
UGH. i am so overwhelmed by these pictures. way too cute. i want to sew! maybe my goal this summer (since my machine is at home) will be to learn how to make sense of a pattern. they are so confusing.
These are darling. Please have Amye and Kelly help you make doubles of everything for your sister.
I want to learn to sew someday! Cute clothes! I can't believe you're going to live in another country. You will have so many cool experiences. Can't wait to hear where you're going!
thank you everyone for the encouragement. kelly and mom, i am maybe holding you to your offers.
Those little flared shorts are too cute! Abby, if you figure out how to make them, I'll pay you to do some for Cierra (:
Abby, thank you for stopping by my blog. I of course then had to jump on over to yours and I must say, you are quite darling yourself! You have gorgeous funky style, an adorable family, and I know I'll be stopping by more often now. xo, Michelle
I bet you will make the cutest clothes ever!OH I love them! So dang cute... now all i need is some kiddos:)
Hey Abby,Let's say someone wants to go blonde. Whom should she call in Provo? Any recommendations?- Gwen
Don't think you need a serger, but some talent and patience couldn't hurt:) I'm not sure how much I have of either, even though I've made some clothes in the past:)
I sewed for many years without a surger. I am sure you could do it without.
