the Y

my dad and i hiked the Y on monday. i'm sorry, i know i once bragged on this blog when i ran a measly mile, so my physical credibility is kind of ruined, but that's a hard little hike. last time i hiked the Y was on a double date with val 6 years ago and my date was kind of odd. this time i lugged my polaroid camera, which is the size of a watermelon, up the mountain. i love hiking with my dad. and when my parents are in town, my heart is happy.

love it. i just read an article in which Matthew McConoughey (sp?) said that when he was growing up, his mother said "If the sun is up, you're outside." I feel that way, too. Buuut, I have school! We should go camping!

Abs,

What a great memory. However, for the life of me, I can't even remember who we went with! Who was the said "odd" date??? Remind me. I remember you and I were kind of lagging behind the guys though, because we were totally not used to the altitude.

Good times. PS Please be in Utah sometime between July 4th and July 18th. Thank you.

Your dad IS quite the hiker-- he used to take my brother, Tommy, quite often not too long ago. Glad you could keep up with him:)

I went on a date that was very similar to that 6+ years ago. We hiked the Y and my date was turned out to be extremely odd. Oh BYU! I came across some amazing people and some very very strange people there.

Great photos! I am impressed that you could keep up with dad. When I last hiked the Y, my roommates and I did not know there were switchbacks. We went straight up. 'Bout killed me.

And I am laughing about the Neelys. Why does your spouse love them so?
