holga

My Holga just arrived in the mail! I can't wait to buy some film and try it out. Can anyone remember the last time they bought film? I can't.

Basically, the Holga is a really really cheap (in every sense of the word) camera from China that takes awful pictures (euphemistically speaking: "low-fidelity aesthetic"). Fortunately, awful pictures are really hot right now! I also wanted a Polaroid but the film ends up costing like 2 bucks a picture.

I know Holga and I will be dear friends. I also know that when I say "holga" out loud, it sounds like I'm about to throw up. Try it!

ABBY! are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?! i've been complaining to nate so much about how i want this camera! i'm so jealous! now i need to come over and see it!!!

we went out on our 3 year dating anniversary and took a bunch of polaroid shots for fun. the film is definitely expensive, plus they won't be making polaroid instant film anymore after this year, which is really sad.

I"M SO JEALOUS! maybe nate will surprise me with a holga soon...just maybe...

also, that would have been an awesome camera to take the fair. who knows what crazy pictures it would have given you!

anonymous, you are so exciting and mysterious! my lovely sister got them in Canada at a store called (i think) Superstore. they are Joe's brand. cute, no? apparently the store is fabulous.
