One thing I love about older British houses is their built in amazing bookcases. I'll have to begin posting pics of them for you, they are simply amazing!
Do you get BBC America? There is a show called Grand Designs that you may really enjoy!
My bedroom growing up had one wall that was a built in book case. My parents took it out a couple of years ago. It makes me a tiny bit sad when I visit.
Wowsers! Now THAT is a bookcase!
