tired of being cold

We planted some flowers today in the hopes that Spring will reconsider.

Ranunculus.
Pansies.
And of course, your good-old African Firesticks. (They were on clearance.)
We have been known to kill bamboo, which is like the cockroach of the plant kingdom, so stay tuned to see if these lovelies survive.

I love ranunculus! So cute! Keep planting flowers, spring will come! I want to see the flowers when I see you in 2 weeks!

I agree with Jill. Ranunculus are beauties. I wish they grew here. I just planted pansies in the front yard and then someone told me they are not heat tolerant. I think I confused them with petunias. Drat!

Ranunculus are my favorite flower. And if it makes you feel any better, I'm not even allowed to buy potted plants any more because they always die.

The flowers are lovely for sure, but I am in love with the photos you took (love the tricycle one and the countertop one--so artistic)!

I am tired of the cold too! Today I put on a skirt trying make it feel like spring, but the only thing that happened is that I realized that my legs are crazy white. So I put pants on before anyone saw! Pretty pretty flowers!

Where did you get your ranunculus? They are my favorite flowers, and I was actually thinking about hunting some down.

We got them at Lowe's on University.

those look lovely! we are putting sod down, planting trees and flowers, and setting up for a garden this weekend in our backyard (clearly my parents are in town, otherwise i wouldn't have the means or the talent to do all of that). if you have any tips let us know! i'm trying to decide what vegetables we should grow...
