i ran a mile tonight. without stopping. and i wasn't really that tired. i would've kept going except it was getting dark and i didn't want to have to use the pocketknife jamie made me take. so, yeah, running a mile without wanting to puke my guts out is kind of a big deal for me at this point. woo.

(running tonight was also imperative because we just got back from eating the Costco Feast. unfamiliar? the Costco Feast is: 1 slice pepperoni pizza, 1 polish dog with sauerkraut, 1 churro, 1 berry smoothie, and 4 refills of root beer. 7 bucks well spent. 1500-ish calories we could do without.)

Good for you. I could walk a mile. In fact, I could walk 5 miles. But run is different. I am impressed. AG

Dude, we feasted at Costco tonight. Around 6:30ish. What time were you there?

Yahoo! That is so awesome, Abby! ;-) (Both the running a mile *and* the Costco Feast!) ;-)

Abby, I think you've inspired me. It's a beautiful day here in Atlanta and I think I might see if I can drag my 40 year old self out for a run. (You may hear a breaking news blurb on CNN - "Overly optimistic middle age woman collapses while trying to exercise... film at 11"....) :-)

Abs--way to go with the running! See, the more you do it the easier it gets! Just curious--did you EACH get the Costco Feast? Not that I care, but if you did...wow.

Love ya!

my kids love the Costco feast (minus the sauerkraut). Yes, and I am interested in the answer to Val's question.

Did you guys break down and get a Costco card? If so, we're proud of you! The Costco here in Honolulu is constantly mobbed. It's the only place outside of the Navy Exchange and Commissary that has decent prices. Otherwise, milk is nearly $8 for a gallon. The price of rice also shot up, causing hoarding. The shelves are totally empty now. A food supply would definitely come in handy for a lot of people right now.

Mom, your speed of "walking" is my speed "running." In fact, I am sure you would pass me.

Emily, we were there very near that time. Funny. We were also looking at the tire section and discovered that Clark Jackson works there. (Saw his picture.)

Thanks, Wendy! We're getting ready for the 10k!

Happywife, you are so funny! If I can do it, you can do it.

Val + Sarah, go ahead and judge me and my feast for one! (Just kidding. We split it.)

Tawny, this is our second year of Costcoliciousness. Had to do it once you moved and we couldn't bum off of you! I am so happy you are in Hawaii. I hope you are loving it, expensive milk aside.

I was just going to ask the question that Val and SArah already asked you and you already answered. I was hoping that you would say 'feast for one'. That would be more impressive than the mile run! And the mile run, by the way, is VERY impressive!

That is our favorite feast too!! If you have a combo slice of pizza and minus the berry smoothie! Costco, good stuff!
