rick steves
The best thing about Saturdays is the travel shows. Rick Steves is a personal favorite. (Did you know that he is about as liberal as they come? I would never have guessed it.) I watched Rick tromp through Baden Baden and other parts of Germany this morning while Jamie and I did some yoga. Rick Steves + yoga= very near zen. In case you were wondering if Jamie has gone granola, he needed an easy one-credit class and yoga was the ticket. He actually really likes it and it helps his back. Emily and I signed up for a yoga class that starts later this month. Anyone else interested?
Jamie this morning, wearing his puffy jacket: "Do I look like a yoga master?"
Me: "Yes."
Anyway, here's to wishing I was in Europe...
(Mom, I posted the bull picture for you. Remember? Of course you do.)

i love rick. i have fond memories of european vacations my mom planned completely with rick's books. i should do yoga, i need to be more limber (sp?)
First of all: Me, Me, I want to take yoga with you!
Next: I bought a bull T-shirt in Spain because I was so intrigued with the bull billboards all over the countryside. I proudly wore it to school on one dress-down Friday, and Annette (who went to Spain with me) gasped and said, "I can't believe you're wearing that!" Apparently she thought the genderness was too graphic. I've never worn it again. AG
We sat by Cheryl and Gerald at the funeral this morning. It was a lovely service; they were struggling with colds they just got; I gave them your battery charger. AG
I want to take yoga with you? Yes, yes. Pick me! Do you want to take photoshop with me in April?
And I see you still have your word verification off...hmmm...
Ashley, you should take yoga with us. 8-9 on Wednesdays. $30 for six sessions. Not too shabby. Think about it.
Mom and Sarah, oh how I wish we could all take yoga together. You don't even know. And Photoshop is one of my dream classes. I guess I need to actually get Photoshop, though. UVSC offers the yoga class, and they also offer classes like bookbinding and floral design. There are about a million classes I want to take.
Mom, I love that you just made up the word genderness. Love it. And I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing bull "stuff" on your shirt. You should wear it again.
Okay, the bull is hilarious. Mostly because I only thought they did that here in Mexico. (should I be embarrassed that the world isn't revolving around me like I thought it was?) Good for you and Jamie doing yoga together. I tried to get Kyle to do a prenatal yoga video with me when I was pregnant with Guthrie. We did pretty well together until the instructor started telling us to do pelvic floor exercises. It was all a little too much for my newlywed, father-to-be husband. Do you blame him?
I think Matt's our middle man, because he told us about you guys and med school this fall. I'm really excited for you and I know you'll enjoy the adventure. Good luck!
