the farewell monster*

i love everything that milo comes home with from preschool. i think because it's all vaguely reminiscent of the eighties. the uglier the craft, the more i love it. the awkwarder the pose, the more i love him.

*"the farewell monster" is a song that milo composed today with four glasses of water and a butter knife to hit them with. maybe it was a reference to bin laden?

two posts in a week, abby?! this is big news.

almost bigger than bin laden. (almost.)

my favorite kid craft is the colored karo syrup on paper. did you ever do that? i probably liked it because it tasted good. typical of me.

abby-

something like this: http://dressesandmesses.wordpress.com/2009/10/06/karo-syrup-leaves/

sticky fingers. a mother's worst nightmare (or maybe my worst nightmare as a pre-mother.) :)

grace told a lady at preschool she didn't want to take home something she colored cause i would just throw it away. does this make me a bad mom? the kids bring home 50 papers/crafts a week. i would be on the show hoarders if i kept them all.

Is it ok{creepy} to say that I want a Milo of my very own, awkward poses and all???

ps I want that Will+Kate mug so badly. I don't care what the shipping is.

oh, me too bon! but i love the things that have his picture on them. he's the world's most awkward poser and i love it.

you're so nice jessa! and yes, let's buy the mug and face the regret together! haha.

we have this certain "craft nazi" teacher at lena's preschool. She's the kind that dabs the glue and directs the child exactly where it (she would like it) it go. I have witnessed her move things on their paper if they aren't in the right spot. it makes me all kinds of crazy.
so when lena brings home something that looks like she actually got to make, it makes me happy.
the uglier the better...so true

milo is adorable in all his awkward pose glory.

We love Milo over here. My favorite Milo quote is, "Hey, Shalynna [in his low, manly voice], I'm not wearing a shirt," when we were fishing. :)

I love that your five year old makes up songs with words like 'farewell' in them and that your three year old calls mailmen mail carriers.

I just want you to know I googled silverpup. now I'm embarrassed because I still have no idea what it (they) is (are).

but in my defense, neither does google.

haha. remi- milo goes to preschool at a high school where the students are the "teachers." it's awesome. the high school mascot is silver wolves. so the preschoolers are silver pups. i would've been confused too!

shalynna, i'm dying over that memory.
