i love it when you give me things

another arizona trip, another dearth of pictures. why do i do that?

la grande orange for my birthday dinner. oh yeah, it's good.

my beloved elementary school. any arroyo lobos/rattlers in the house? i got nostalgic for POGS and the great goblin gallop and mr. lazaar.

jamie and my mom threw me a "surprise" party. it was so nice. i love the people in my life. and after 6 years of marriage jamie fully appreciates my motto "quality over quantity" and got me the best gift, some hunter wellies. i love them!

i realized that i hadn't had a birthday in glendale since i was 15. i turned 16 in malaga, spain. 17 at the bottom of the grand canyon. 18-25 in utah or idaho. and 26 in da west indies. pretty cool!

arizona, i love you. i bet you are warm today. i'm not.

happy belated birthday!

i was trying to convince clint the other day that i needed some hunter wellies. because you know... now we get irrigation, and i need cute boots to turn it on/off. ha.

it's actually not too warm today. another little cold spell our way before the death heat comes.

Happy Birthday! I love AZ! I miss it so much every winter I am here.

that last pic has me so homesick for the desert i could cry.

your wellies are awesome.

spain eh? sounds like a stellar birthday to me. i was in paris on my 19th and had the most awful french food of my life (we spoke ZERO french, and the staff spoke ZERO english.. it was bad combo for choosing off the menu.)

That picture of Milo is amazing. You are such a good photographer and you never give yourself credit!

I love your family even though I haven't met all of them. Have I even met your mom? For some reason I feel like I have, but I don't think it ever happened!

Miss Nielson is MIssing was one of my favorite books as a child! I need to buy that for our children books library.

You are the cutest thing on that bike in those boots. You forgot to brag that Jamie MADE that bike! Next post needs to be before, middle, and after pictures.

Tell David that if we stay in the states I need a pair of boots just like yours. Apparently he didn't get the hint ALL winter when we walked by the Hunter collection at Nordstrom and I pointed them out every single time.

And the list of where you've spent your birthdays is amazing! Spain! Grand Canyon! UT or ID! Caribbean! Next one- Italy... or England or whatever is on the top of your list right now. :)

I love the boots on the bike. The main reason I'm glad we live in Kentucky is so that I could justify getting those boots.

As a former Rattler/Lobo, I appreciate the sign. Although I live close by, I never go to Arroyo! Those were good memories (I still have my POGS stashed away somewhere:). Glad you had fun. Hope to see you next time!

bike ride and wellies and wet rainy pavement- mmm i can smell it from here:)
i bought wellies from LL bean this year and they have made me a happy girl. I wore them all winter with fleece inserts (do that next winter!) that's part of me justifying costs:)

milo is cute and so are you.
