i'm gonna let it shine
i guess it's time to talk about 2010. let's skip over the holidays and the fact that i failed at photo a day- we all got horribly sick. jamie even got pneumonia. and one night he mixed some meds that i guess should not be mixed. he got real loopy and paranoid and accused me of slipping him some medicine. then he kept saying really fast, "this is weird. i feel weird. what's going on? i feel weird. this is weird." let that be a lesson, kids.
favorite movie of 2010: get low
honorable mentions: harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1, it's kind of a funny story, ramona and beezus, tangled, leap year, babies
six favorite albums of 2010. i know six is a random number but cara said it best- i'm a mom. staying current is hard.
6. the national- high violet
5. joanna newsom- have one on me
4. peter gabriel- scratch my back
3. beach house- teen dream2. mumford and sons- sigh no more
1. the lower lights- a hymn revival
favorite moment of 2010 (tie):
starting medical school
quitting medical school
that pretty much sums it up. let's end with some pictures.

you're disappointed in 53?! that's on average of one book a week {i know... i'm so smart.} plus you have kids!
get low was my number one favorite too. i loved every ounce of that movie.
boo to pneumonia. i'm 40% sure i have walking pneumonia. i have a nasty cold for three weeks now, and every time i try cover my cough at work one of the nurses screams at me.. "go get a chest x-ray!" awesome.
as always thanks for your words.
pst.. hello miss photogenic! love that photo of you and your little man!
wait you're dissapointed in 53? wow i hope i've read 53 in my life.
Abs, you are a star. I look forward to exploring your faves because they probably are super good.
love it. yay for 2010
hahah this is britt (whimsy} signed on my sisters computer...
Ok, i'm going to sound like a broken record but, disappointed with 53? Come on! :)
Are you doing a goal for the year on Goodreads? Mine is 45, and i'm not ashamed to admit that at least 1/4 of those (maybe 1/3) will be audio books. Nevertheless, I love reading. It keeps me sane.
yeah, 53 is something to be seriously proud of.
somehow i missed that new joanna newsom album. must check it out now. she's a weirdo and i love her.
I haven't even heard of "get low". I will have to check it out. And how you managed to read that many books...you're amazing. Happy New year!
i guess the "disappointed" remark sounds a little snotty. it just felt like i read more than that!
What a full year. Your blog makes me happy! Glad I found it.
Mumford and Sons was probably my favorite album of the year. Banjos? Yes, please.
And hah, keeping track of books I read always makes me realize I read less than I think. Since I feel like I am constantly reading but I guess I sometimes get stuck in a book and it takes a while to finish off.
I loved "Babies," too! I made my mom watch it with me. Cute picture of you, Abby-- we hardly ever get to see you:)
My goal is 5. FIVE!
I might as well wear a helmet.
My goal for 2011 is one book a month! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH. I'm laughing at myself now. But, I have an excuse. I have a child. Oh wait, you have two. Well, I want to start sewing, so I won't have time for books. Wait, you do that too.
One of my new "things to be jealous of" is how much more people read than me. :)
what a great blog you have! and kudo's to you for reading that many books - i read 5 and was uber proud of myself. oops :) i need to look up some of that music...
