30 is the new 15

i neglected to give a shout out to my huzzband who in august turned that really fantastic age that we all look forward to. i won't say which one because he's still in denial. he ran his first half marathon that morning to prove to himself that he wasn't old. and he did awesome! and then he spent the next week hobbling around like a 90 year old.

his sisters ran too!

and then here are some pictures from pearly girl's birthday party:
my attempt at this.
i continued the birthday banner tradition. i thought this one was cute but, alas, not architecturally sound. and where the heck do i store it?
milo is showing pearl his pet roly-poly which he smothered with so much love and good eats that it died within the hour. she was a good pet.

I am so impressed by the cake. I have been wanting to do that for a while myself, but I'm going to cross it off the list now that you have. Phew, glad to get that done with!
Miss you several times lately. Need to go shopping and need a good buddy to tell me what to get.
Congrats to your old (young) hubby and he's awesome for doing the run. He is such a cutie with his sisters. That is a really meaningful picture.
mouth closing. typing finished.

why am i just realizing now how cute milo is? he needs more face time on this blog. stat. (you all need more face time on this blog. i'm not a fan of this blog-every-two-weeks thing.)

and that cake is stellar!

Hooray for Jamie! And we love that cake and the banner for Pearl's bday. Wish we could have been there to celebrate the birthdays. And that Utah air sure looks nice and fresh.

I can't believe how big Milo looks! His long hair is so adorable...he's not the same chubby little boy anymore!

See? All you had to do was post pictures of the party, and all your blood sweat and tears are no longer in vain. It was the best and you are the best.

hi guys! so great to see you in July! happy birthday to sweet Pearl and the old man too. Impressive job on the 1/2 mara. Nice pseudo beard Jamie. Cute layer cake, I've been meaning to give that one a try one of these days. Hope all is well....

I LOVE this post! Everyone and everything is delicious and cute. The bags you made for the treasure hunt are great. Jamie is a hunk. He and his sisters are super-athletes. Could Pearl and Milo be any cuter? No. Your photography skills are impressive. AG

i love your new header. how awesome of your huzzband to run a 1/2. it's one of my goals {someday}. it was fun to see a picture of amy. she is so sweet. k, the b-day party. you rock abby. someday you are going to look at those pictures and think "as a mother, i was a rock star." because you are. i love it all!

That's what Kurtis did after a 14 mile hike that he never prepared himself for. Men are so funny. Your cake rocked. It looks like way too much effort for my tastes. What a fun party, though! :) You're birthday banner is very cute.

the idea of turning 30 keeps me up at night. i know, it's just a number but i have all these things that i "think" i need to do before thirty {as if there isn't time to do them when i'm 31.} stupid number.

your pearl makes me miss my niece sophie {they both turned 3 a few weeks ago.}

she also makes me think of a post awhile ago, that you said you had the perfect baby name, but you wouldn't be using it for a LONG time. geez girl, i've been dying to know what it is ever sense. maybe you should just have another one already! ;)

Great photos. That half marathon sucked for me, but James & Amy did great (I actually like the photo of all 3 of us, which is saying a lot since I hate about 99.9% of photos I am in--must be your mad photog skillz!). (Will you please email me that photo?) I love the pics from Pearly's party and that cake is awesome. And that banner. Wow. Once again I am feeling like a dope cause I have a store-bought bday banner that we have used for many years and it is just so lame. I am just not a creative person at all.
