low rising

this is me saying thanks. maybe i should freak out and have a blog identity crisis more often! your comments were all awesome and greatly greatly appreciated. i love you all.

just to be clear, i have no problem whatsoever with anyone making money from their blog or having aspirations of that sort. not at all. i just don't like feeling that pressure to make my blog into something more. and of course feeling that way is really only my fault! but i'm glad some of you understand where i'm coming from. and like you all said, it's just a blog for pete's sake!

p.s. the beautiful kate posted a fun little interview with me on her blog, so go check it out.

two things totally off subject.

1. your hair is the perfect color of blonde.

2. your braid is so fancy! mine never work that good.

you know a lot of kates

love your hair.
wish that i could pull that color and length off.

i love the response that you got from your post. i still think about stopping all together, but that's a little rash right?

and yes,
there are loads of kates in blogland. i never knew another kate growing up. :)

ps- I didn't know how many opinions I had concerning blogging until I read your previous post...now all I want to do is write them down. in a post.

Let's see if I'll be able to restrain myself.

Abby, I am Kate (from communikate)'s mom. I loved your blog. I wish I could get on and be as up front an honest of all of you bloggers. Reading Kate's blog is the highlight of my day. and sure helps to keep us in touch when so many miles separate us. Keep blogging even if it only for your mom.

just read your last post, wowzers on the comments! cute braid! I'm not sure why I read blogs, except that I do, and yours is one of them!

somewhat related. I heard a story on the radio the other day about why life seems to go faster as we get older...mainly has to do with our perspective widening, and events, even eras, becoming smaller and smaller slices as time goes on. I think it's important to hold on to the "embarrassing" posts or diary entries (of which I have millions) so that we know how much we've grown. Not that we have to air them or re-publish them, but just have them there, somewhere. I look up to my wise and awesome parents so much. I would love to read some stuff they had written when they were young and immature like me, figuring out how to shape a life and a family.

I love all your music references in your post titles. Have you seen 'Once' ever? I know it's rated R. Because they drop the F-bomb often. But for some reason, it doesn't sound as crass when said with an Irish accent. But the movie is so, SO beautiful.

Okay, I'm going to get into trouble now for encouraging people to watch R movies.

just read your previous post (and Kera's similar post)- it's brilliant, and I have had so many similar feelings of confusion about my own blog. I'm glad people are starting to talk about it :)
But really, i have to tell you, your braid is amazing and you look lovely in this photo :)
have a great day!
