but nary a box of hot tamales in sight, sarah.

i feel too tired to narrate this post. but we went homemade this year and obviously milo's costume was the bomb, but also obviously he could hardly move in it. and i made pearl's hooded cape from this tutorial and felt like the bomb when it turned out so well. good thing she looked cute because she wandered into a lotttt of people's houses. also, facial hair isn't as enjoyable as i thought it would be.

we helped will (jamie's brother) and debi throw a halloween party and it was so much fun. jamie organized a "fear factor" game and had people eating live worms and pickled pigs' feet. although he took one bite of baby food (ham dinner) and was down for the count. you win some, you lose some. halloween was rad.

Oh, my goodness!! The costumes are all fantastic! Pearl is darling. Milo's costume is amazing. Was he able to breathe? You and Jamie look downright scary with those weapons. I'm glad you had a fun Halloween.

Abby, I am so impressed! I am laughing at how immobile Milo looks and that he still agreed to wear it! What a cooperative boy. How did you hook up the lights?

Pearl's cape is perfect! And love your mustaches.

Our hot tamale count: 2

um, pearl is gorgeous! and milo certainly was a good sport. and was there any moustache-to-moustache kissing? weird. you make me [almost] want to like halloween, but i still don't.

sarah- totally thought of you with each box of hot tamales we got, also. though, i haven't counted.

Oh my goodness, what a sport for Milo wearing that robot costume while trick-or-treating!!! All of your costumes are awesome and kudos for going handmade! P.S. Pearl's eyelash's get me every time, they are gorgeous.

You have some skills girl!!! I was going to make Afton's costume, but lack of skills and early pregnancy sickness decided otherwise.

The robot costume is pretty sweet! If I have a boy someday I might just have to copy that idea. (just a heads up) I agree with facial hair not being very fun.

I LOVE your kids costumes, seriously if you had a little stage Mama in you Pearl is model material, GAP anyone? So cute, and love that the lights on the robot actually work, very creative.

I just showed David the picture of you and Jamie as lumber jacks and he said, "Who's that?" Hahahaha.
