everything's gonna get lighter, even if it never gets better.

we had a picnic the other day. it was a lovely day in the midst of some really crappy ones. i'm grateful for the lovely days. sometimes i can be grateful for the crappy days because on those days i can justify taking a bath, eating an extraordinary amount of candy, and then watching little women or p&p or notting hill in my bed. so not all bad, right?

i just die over that bottom picture of milo. i'm going to tell you a funny story about him. this is a mommy blog afterall. quite awhile after we'd tucked the kids in bed the other night, i heard noise in their room. i peeked in and milo was poking and shaking pearl and saying in a tiny whimper, "pearl! wake up pearl! i'm scared! please, wake up pearl!" and she just kept right on snoring. it was about the cutest thing i'd ever witnessed and i went right in and lay with him for awhile. he is scared of everything. kind of like me. pearl on the other hand...well she straddled a sleeping cow the other day at the petting zoo, if that gives you an idea of what pearl is not.

also, that picture that looks like nothing is actually of a deer. we chased it around for awhile. i think it thinks i was trying to kill it when really i was just trying to immortalize it on polaroid.

k. i just watched little women by myself while my kids were asleep for the first time last week. great show. I had a handful and chocolate covered almonds and a diet coke and snuggled up with a fleece utah jazz blanket. so nice. .

That's so cute what Milo did. Sometimes I wish Ethan got scared about something... ANYTHING, really, just so I could have the chance to comfort him. He's so dang independent! Maybe Logan will need me more.... :)

crappy days are also for staying in pjs the entire day. I'm so glad that someone else admits to having bad days. In my eyes you are too perfect to have bad days. *hugs*

love all of these.

and yes. notting hill, p&p, and little women are SOME of my favorite flicks as well. in fact, any time i'm sick, i watch pride and prejudice because graham HATES it, and i get away with it then!!

p.s.. darling outfit!
