cupcakes, so hot right now.

i made cupcakes last night. well, james made them and i just prettied them. sophie, tell the people how cute the cupcakes were.

{the bunches of organic mint on the left are from sunflower market, which we are somehow just getting around to discovering. it's like utah valley's consolation for not having a trader joe's. i like it. and debi, they have all kinds of stevia there! i can be your supplier if you like. the moral of the story here is that smith's/the kroger corporation and their grumpy employees/subpar produce can kiss it.} {unless i need makeup, in which case they have great 50% sales on makeup.}

I'm so glad there's a picture and even though you can't see them that well I can attest that they were absolutely adorable.
PS I love the sunflower market!

organic mint. at first i thought they were peas. i couldn't figure out why you would put peas on your cupcakes.
as for trader joes, everyone keeps talking about that place. we have one hear and some of my friends swear by it. i really should check it out.

Sunflower Market and I are so tight. Their produce is magic and I am addicted to avacados thanks to them. They don't have peppermint Jo-Jo's at Christmas like Trader Joe's though, I checked numberous times.

I love Sunflower Market, but I'm with you - I miss Trader Joe's. I keep hearing rumors that they are coming to Utah...

Cute cupcakes and I esp. appreciated your goodreads books. I just made a list and will get to the library this week. I need some good recommendations!

brooke, i love giving book recommendations! i don't know what style you love, but let me suggest I Capture the Castle, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society.

I TOTALLY love the SFM (am I cool or what)? haha! DEAR ABBY (always wanted to do that):
Well, I really need a good book! I am SO difficult to help. I didn't love the 'shannon Hale' stuff... too slow for me. I of course adored TWILIGHT. I love an LDS fiction series by Chris Stewart!! They are so awesome! It's like watching 24 or something, so intense and I love them. So, I don't know, I think I'm helpless. My sister always tries to help me and recommend books. I just need something to GRAB me and never let go! Otherwise I get bored and fall asleep! ok... i think i'm done. I could have just emailed you or something! SORRY!

hmm, that is a tough one, emily. i think most books just tend to start out slow as the scene and characters are set. at least the ones i read anyway. if you hang in there, they get really good, though. i really love the shannon hale books, especially the goose girl, which i do remember starting out a little slow. have you ever read these is my words? i think you might like that one. let me think more about it and i'll let you know, though!
