you've got a lure i can't deny

Four years ago, when we are about to get married, I told Jamie I really wanted us to sing this song at our reception. Well, it didn't happen. And we can point fingers all day as to why it didn't (*cough*, Jamie), but would that not have been AWESOME? If we had actually done this, like with a little synthesizer and some flashy choreography, would we not have BLOWN YOUR MIND? You think I'm joking, but I'm not. It would totally have made up for the poodle hair. I am still counting on us singing this together in a semi-public venue at some point in our lives.

it is a pretty tremendous song. p.s. - do you remember that tune we did that went like this:

"Living in a time machine. Trapped in here fore-e-ver. We won't get out of he-e-ere. Till the ye-e-ear 3000..."

That would have been pretty awesome... however, although this is an amazing song, it's probably a good thing that you didn't sing this one at your wedding since it's all him trying to get her not to break up with him and she's not budging... at all. Haha, but it's such a fun duet... Nate and I like to sing it on road trips!

Please refer to my previous comment (on the San Fran post) about the "singer"-- Perhaps Jaime was trying to save embarrassment... just kidding. :)

That reminded me of the TLC show called "Rock the Reception." Have you seen it? I like it, but a little goes a long way.

eliza, i was going to type the title to our favorite lyrics-by-neil eternity song, but i think everyone else would get the wrong idea. the initials are g.c.a.l.t. "go together like ketchup and mustard. go together like peaches and cream."

lindie, when i was reminding jamie of the song the other day, he said, "yeah, it's too bad you didn't want to do that." whatever.

kelly, i didn't know you were a postal service fan! i'm expecting you and nate to sing it for me now.

bethany, i'm beginning to think you don't like my singing. i can't imagine why.

kim, i haven't seen it! but i want to now, because i trust your taste in things. i was thisclose to purchasing satellite tv today and then chickened out.

p.s. kelly, i know what you mean about the song lyrics. but sometimes mormon receptions need a little spice. keep people on their toes. :)
also, the lyrics would probably be funny to anyone who knows our history.
