i left my heart {and macarons} in san francisco

We visited the Ferry Building in San Francisco last week and sampled Miette's amazing macarons. Not macaroons. Macarons. (Thank you Jordan Ferney for the tip. Your tips never lead me astray.) They were amazing. Anyway, long story short, I bought a box of the none-too-cheap confections, forgot the bag in my hotel room, returned a few hours after check-out and the maids had stolen them. Stolen them! And of course they couldn't confess because they had probably enjoyed every last morsel whilst cleaning that dingy little room at America's Best Inn at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, CA, USA, The World, The Universe. (Name that movie.) Needless to say I was sad. Still am. So tonight I tried to make my own. Not really the same. Edible, but not the same. And now my kitchen is a disaster. And I'm up at midnight blogging about it all. Ok, bye.

I sent you an email (to your yahoo acct). I thought about posting it as a comment, but then decided against that. It's in regards to "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn". ;-)
