come to zion
We just got back from my family's reunion in St. George. We all saw plays (Jamie + I saw Les Miserables at Tuacahn + The Taming of the Shrew at the Shakespeare Festival), hung out at our nice condos, and hiked the Narrows in Zion National Park. It was so much fun and I am sad to be back to the daily grind. Some pictures from our hike (which is in the middle of a river) that my mom will probably enjoy.... (love ya mom)...
Pearl fell asleep.
Milo was grumpy because it cut into his nap time. On a positive note, Milo became great friends with his cousin Owen on this trip. They used to just ignore each other.
I carried Pearl on my back the whole way and my shoulders are thanking me today. I'm just glad I didn't fall down in the river with her.

We just recently had a family reunion at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. Didn't go too well with MY kid (he woke up about every hour the whole night-- both nights!) I'm glad your experience was better!
We had one of those hiking backpacks, too. So useful! (Fortunately for me, JOE was the one using it, though:)
Ohhh, I'm sighing over the great pics. I think this was a family vacation we won't forget, especially the Narrows walk. The kids were ecstatic! AG

That looks like so much fun! I love Zions Park. I can't believe you carried Pearl the whole time like that! Wow! You're superwoman!
I'm jealous of your hike! What kind of shoes does one wear when hiking through a river?
I went to Zion at the beginning of the summer it was Fantastic. Looks like you had fun.
angela, i wore tennis shoes but i think tevas or chaccos would be great for that hike.
