because really i only have two kids and how hard can that be?
Today was a hard day with the kids. Lots of crying and whining and laughing in my face when I am trying to discipline (can you guess which kid that was?). I could've used Jon & Kate Plus 8 today. It always makes me feel better about my situation. We need cable.

Well that definitely puts life into perspective! ...I don't know though, two kids are still a lot of work!

I guess I've really only dealt with the whining part so far-- although Ethan does smile at me when I tell him "no"! Just wait 'til he gets older, right??
They have the same family we do--5 girls and 3 boys (and their oldest 2 are both girls). Love this show, but wish Kate would talk nicer to Jon.
Yes Wendy, I agree. The show bugs for that very reason.
i actually have to agree as well. but it seems they do have a good marriage.
I love this show! It always makes me so happy that I have one kid and I am amazed at their family. I think they are so funny and her crazy personality is perfect for her family.
Okay, Miss Abby. I read your "I Capture the Castle" book-- and I have to say I did not completely enjoy the ending (although I did not cry, I know I will be thinking about it for a long while). It was wonderfully written, but I do wish I knew Cassandra, at least, and could tell her what I thought about it all! I do like Stephen, don't you? It really was a great novel! Thanks for suggesting it, and I hope you suggest more.
I really like "These is my words" (written as a diary-- there are three volumes-- based on actual memoirs from the lady's ancestor in the Arizona territory). Just a suggestion to you, since you suggested this great book! Thanks again, and now I can fully appreciate the quote you used for the blog title!
Oh my goodness!!! I get tired watching this show. I get nervous just thinking about getting pregnant again. Bravo to all those who have more than one child!!!
I have asked my mom many times how she raised seven children. She always says that we came one at a time so she could deal with it. I can't imagine six at one time! yikes!
Abby, I love Breaking Dawn because it ties up all of the loose ends. Even tho I'm not personally a fan of Jacob, there are chapters in his POV and they were REALLY good! I really liked them. Some parts were frustrating, yes, but it was good in a very well-rounded way. I think you'll like it too. Feel free to borrow it if you want. :) As I don't plan to pick it up and read it all over again any time soon. :)
No, I haven't read the sequels to "These is my words" yet, but I've been on waiting lists at the library! I actually got the 3rd one before the 2nd (it came off hold first), then I had to return it before the second even came off hold-- very irritating!
I'll let you know how I like them. I know I will. Also, I need to read the last of the "Twilight" series that just came out-- but I'll wait to borrow it from my friend:) I'm too cheap!
What other books do you suggest?
Oh-- and about the movie they made, that you said is rated "R" (about "I Capture the Castle")-- how could you even make that book into a rated "R" movie?? That irritates me a bit. I do sound irritated today, don't I?

hey james and abby! your family is so darn cute. I haven't seen pearl until i discovered your blog. She's so cute. i do always see your current pix when i'm at my moms house. thats when she reminds me of how bad i am at getting my kids pix taken. i'm having rachael come over to help me get a blog up and going, maybe that will help. its been fun checking up on old friends. see ya, keep in touch. you guys are so cute love ya!!
