2008: The Year of No Pacifiers

It's true. Neither of my kids cares a lick about their pacifiers. This may be my proudest moment as a mother. I don't know how many hours of my life have been wasted away in search of those little things. Never again. (Well maybe with the next baby...not any time soon.)

Now, let's just hope 2008 is also The Year of a Full Night's Sleep.

I love the binkies! I am so thankful Lucy has succombed. I also love the invention of the binkie holder. Lots of fun. But it is sure a relief when the binkies are gone. As long as no fingers are replacing the need to sooth. Fingers and Mya are my downfall as a mother.

It's true. Pearl actually sucks on her fingers a lot, so I will probably have that new battle. But at least she can't LOSE her fingers and scream all night for them!

I think Owen's pacifier is more my security blanket, than his. I'm creating an unnecessary addiction with 2 in his crib each night.

Love the chair header.

I really thought the O-miester had conquered the addiction. I know what you mean, but Milo just kept losing them and he wouldn't sleep without one. Luckily, he randomly weaned himself.

I beg to differ. I think pacifiers are wonderful! Sure, they get lost and need replacing when they get old. Get the binkie clip-on thing. The fact remains that babies love to suck, and it's almost magic when you can put one in a crying baby's mouth and he calms right down. So perfect for church and for nighttime.
