95% of you will be annoyed by this.

I added music to my blog. A lot of times this annoys me on other blogs, but I did it anyway. I guess I felt like sharing some music today. Let me explain my choices:

"Jamie": In college I used to sit in my dorm room and pine after a mean boy named Jamie who turned out to be the nicest, best husband in the world. (I realize the song's about a girl, though.)

"Passenger Seat": Probably my favorite band. Romantic lyrics. ("When you feel embarrassed, I'll be your pride. When you need direction, I'll be your guide...for all time.")

"When I Get Where I'm Going": Don't judge me because of the country song. It's kind of a cheesy song, but I still love it because I LOVE Dolly Parton. She's got class. If I could choose any person's singing voice on this earth, it would be hers. Awesome.

"Dance Me To the End of Love": Love jazz. Love Madeleine. She reminds me of Billie Holliday.

"1234": Feist is feel-good. Check out this music video and just try not to be happy. (Seriously, check it out. Just do it.)

"Over the Rainbow": Another beautiful voice I'd love to have. This whole album is covers of songs turned into lullabies.

"Hide and Seek": You will think this song is so freaky the first time you hear it and then you will be obsessed with it every listen thereafter. (At least that's how it worked for me.)

What are your favorite songs?

That was a good feist video. A couple of times I was afraid for the state of her strapless shirt, though.

Really? Dolly Parton is the voice you'd want most in the world?! Huh.

I take it you don't dig.

I have to say I really like Dolly Parton now that I am an adult (as a young girl she was laughable to me and Jenny C.), however, I am with Emily; sort of surprised she'e your favorite voice of all time.

Also, there's no shame in liking country, especially if it's Brad Paisley. There's just nobody like Brad. Love that song.

Good music picks!

Dash's version of Jamie? Did they not have Weezer's original? DC's is pretty good, although I do loves me the Weez.

I knew Dolly could write (hello, I Will Always Love You), but I nevr thought she was a great singer until I heard her sing "I Will Always Love You" live and I was so surprised.

I relistened to her...I get you.

Diana, I love that you love Innocence Mission.

Bon, you are making me nostalgic for the good ol' days.

Kim, I love the Weeze as well, but I think DC's version is better. You heard Dolly live? As in, in concert? No fair.

Angela, I listened to "Shine." Can I love Dolly any more? I think not. She rocked it.

I am partial to Jamie, for 3 reasons. Love your choices. Not too clear on Dolly - I sometimes have a hard time seperating the person from the private life from the song. But Mom used to listen to her 8 tracks A LOT! So I am familiar with greatness.
