Good eats

I'm not really a meatball kind of girl, but these are sooooo good. Jamie requests them ALL the time. Last night he said he was craving them and HAD to have them. Who's the pregnant one again?
Courtesy of my rad college roommate Jenny. When she made them, she always used hormone-free beef from her family's Kansas ranch. Lucky!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

1 package hamburger
1 C oatmeal
1 T dried onion
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
3/4 cup milk

Mix all ingredients and shape into balls. Cover with the following sauce:

1 C ketchup
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
1/2 T dried onion
1 C brown sugar
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/2 T vinegar

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. We eat them with rice and save some sauce to pour over the top. Delicious!

Will you make it for us while you're in AZ? I haven't done meatballs often, but it seems like when I do, they fall apart in the pan.
