here comes a visible horizon

We bought a house! It's tiny, but it's all my dreams come true- over a hundred years old, original hardwood, apple tree swing, raspberry and rose bushes everywhere, huge fenced-in garden, three minutes from my sister. We started about ten projects simultaneously when we moved in and everything is in disarray, hence the strategically cropped pictures. It is so fun, though. Nobody told me how wonderful having a backyard would be. It's the best! And instead of begging my children not to run and jump or the neighbors will be mad, I absolutely command them to run and jump everywhere. They go outside and swing a little, then smell the flowers a little, then poke at some bugs, then run to check the mail.

Anyway, excuse the bragging. It's been eight years in the making so I'm forgiven, right?

  8. Congratulations! I live in a tiny cottage house too, though only 76 years old. I love thinking of the many happy families that have occupied it over the years.

Enjoy! Old houses are always a project. :o)

  16. it sounds like a dream come true. You completely deserve it so completely enjoy it and don't worry about bragging.

I could soap box about bragging, so I'll try to be short.
Everyone has bad things in life. we need to be happy together with the good. Being happy when good things happen is not bragging. People who think so need to stop being jealous and start being happy. Life is too short to not enjoy it. It's even more fun to enjoy it with each other.
