lots of name-dropping: famous mormons edition

I tend to skip Christmas recaps on the ol' blog. Not this year! Even if it is February 1st.

church at 9 on christmas christmas day 2011
Christmas morning. We kind of grumbled about 9:00 church.

My brother sent this to my dad as kind of a joke but my dad loves it and wears it even though I don't think he is voting for Romney. The joke is that my mother has an eternal flame of love for Mitt and he was in her bishopric in college. And we ran into his son at Last Chance the day after Christmas! Oh Mitt...

A visit to the Haslips always involves some awesome dress-ups.

And a Godfrey gathering often involves a talent show. Jamie calls it a "jamboree."

Christmas was great. And just FYI, we are not moving to Las Vegas after all. We were 99.9% sure we were. Now we're 92% sure we're not. We're 78% sure this is the right decision. Please proceed to roll your eyes at us. Meanwhile, I am mourning that I don't get to live by my two favorite people in this world: Jill Baugh and Brother Flowers. Let's not talk about it.

It's fun to see your pictures from Christmas. Love that blue dress.

I'm glad you shared photos of your Christmas. Your hair is adorable on Christmas day and seeing photos of that dress on you makes me wish I never sold it to Asialene (I borrowed hers over Christmas and tried to get her to sell it back to me, but it didn't work). You're so pretty.

I'll never roll my eyes at you. You're my idol!

Were you in AZ for Christmas? We were too! I would love to get together again, I think the kids would love it too. Our little known, quiet default plan is to move back to UT this summer if other things don't happen. I'll have to let you know if we make it up there on a trip otherwise. I love your parents.

abby delighted, i'm always delighted when you post something new!

let's talk about your sister's(?) kitchen. white space of awesomeness. blue is totally your color. you look smokin' in that dress.

keep on keepin on lady. it's like that old saying when God closes a window he opens a door (or something like that..) i think you're going to have amazing opportunites come your way that you maybe never crossed your mind before.

and that is a loooong comment.

Oh man. The fact that Milo is saluting in the picture of your family is killing me. I am sort of obsessed with your kids.

(Ugh, really. Have I reached my capacity on how many times I can say that before it gets creepy?)

Well, I for one, am glad that you are not moving. We don't spend enough time together.

P.S. I would grumble about 9:00 a.m. church on Christmas day, too. :)

Your kids are so cute. Pearl has this effortless chic going on. Is it the curls and casual up-dos? And a Mitt crush is hilarious. Reminds me of when all the old ladies in my institute class crushed on (then) Elder Uchtdorf. Eternal Flame is stuck in my head now.

I can't believe how old all the little kids are getting! P.S. I love that Romney shirt. It almost makes me want to vote for him.

I love this post! Such a cute family you have. Maybe you could be 65% sure that you'll move back to AZ.... :)

Love all those Christmas pics, and the dress up- that's totally our house, and very funny mitt joke- that would totally be something Brian would do in such a situation (buy the shirt for his dad OR wear it if he were in your dad's shoes). Somewhat sad you aren't moving to Vegas- we have connections with connections with connections to one of your two favorite people so we would have loved to at least connect you to the first connection. Since you aren't going, is there a 10% chance you'd think about Minnesota? 90% of me thinks you'd like it- at least to visit. ;-) I have skimmed your other posts and desperately wanted to chat music that one time, but have not been spending much time on the computer- just too much going on. I'm blaming church callings. Glad to see you are doing well. I'm hoping I get a chance to catch up on my own blog... someday.
