we had a perfect weekend of movie watching (even if it was a movie with the Rock), followed by swimming in the caribbean, followed by a dip at the royal st kitts pool, followed by spaghetti dinner and "about a boy." and throw a delicious pina colada in the mix. (good drinks are important to me.)
the best thing in the world is to lay on your back in the ocean and stare at the sky and let the current take you where it will.
i hope we have more weekends like that.
Okay this seems like it is the dream... especially since it's January. And you're gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh that swimsuit. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you said "drinks are important to me" because when you mentioned the pina colada, I knew that made everything good, even before reading your disclaimer. Drinks ARE important.
One of my good friends got back a few months ago from living in Grenada (sp?) for medical school. She spent almost every day at the beach and working on her photography. She came back beautifully brown and very skilled. I am very jealous of you right now. I am so white and so so so done with the winter! I am glad you had a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteJust missing you guys.
ReplyDeleteyou, Abby, are looking mighty beautiful even at the beach! Me, I wear ball caps at the beach to hide as much of my head as possible...
ReplyDeletei cant say it enough. it looks amazing there.
ReplyDeletewill you pretty please tell me where you got your suit?
oohh- speaking of drinks- i figured out the rodizio grill lemonade. awesome! but i haven't mastered the coconut version. i'll email you what i've got.
ReplyDeletewe miss you guys!
d
I ALWAYS get a Pina Colada when I'm vacationing poolside, and since you live on vacation I hope you get to drink a lot of them! I might have to make one tonight and sip it snow-side and wish I was visiting you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat it was to open this today! Great photos of everyone. It feels like I was there with you.
ReplyDeleteyou had me at 'wiggedy wack'.
ReplyDeleteoh, and i am continuing my search for red vines tomorrow. i have not given up!
p.s. i dreamt about red vines AGAIN! sheesh.
Andrew said there wasn't any "wiggedy wack" on his way home from school, so maybe the island is behaving itself.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos. So great.
I was just positive we were kindred spirits until that comment about Dwayne.
ReplyDeleteOh shoot, is that his name?
Anyway, I find him absolutely adorable. Can't wait to see him give a go at toothfairyhood.
JUst give him another chance. Pause on a moment when he smiles. Tell me your heart fluttered a bit. Then, perhaps we can continue our kindred status.
Abby,
ReplyDeleteAs of the moment you published this post, you have forfeited your right to complain about embarrassing pictures. Thanks for nothin’!
Your friend,
Andrew
I'm sure this comment will label me "the odd girl who wrote ___" but whatever. I love photography and that last photo which captured [someone's] toes. The best. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI like your revelation on the beach. Your weekend sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteCan I come with you next time! The ocean is my favorite. Brent is a mountain man and I am an ocean girl. I miss the water.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're having an awful time there....
ReplyDeleteAbby--you seriously look like a movie star.
ReplyDeleteKilling it in that red swimsuit.
ReplyDeleteI love the beach and letting the current take you where it will.
ReplyDeleteI love the color red on you.
I love "About a Boy".
I hate The Rock.
I love your blog (and you).
I hate that I don't live there too.
I think you are more beautiful than a movie star....cause aside from being beautiful on the outside....you have an inner beauty that no movie star will ever possess. Love the pictures...I loveeeeeee the ocean!!!!
ReplyDeleteAbby, thank you for posting your beach photos. They are seriously helping me deal with my SAD. You're the best. I look at the ocean, and it calms me. Weird, I know. But true.
ReplyDeletei came here from sarah's blog... what an adventure you guys are on! looks like fun :)
ReplyDeleteyour babies are so adorable. cant even handle your little girl's curls!
DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING!!
ReplyDelete[i do.]

I love you and your blog.
ReplyDeleteAll of these.. need a "Wish you were here" caption on them and send them off as postcards.
ReplyDeleteI kind of want to hate you right now in your gorgeous red swimsuit and short wonderful blonde hair.
I'll refrain. :)
