It's so haaard to say goodbyyye...to the Cosby Sho-o-ow

Does anybody else remember that??? The last episode of the Cosby Show with special guest stars Boyz II Men??? Classic. And Very Special. VSCS. The first tape I ever bought was Boyz II Men in (maybe?) the 6th Grade. Nevermind that their songs were probably a little too, uh, amorous for my age. And don't get me started on the Cosby Show. Love it. Milo loves it too. Mr. Cosby has the darndest way with kids.

But....

The point of this post is to say that it's hard to say goodbye to our apartment and our friends because we are moving this week! We're going to the gracious in-laws for a month or so and then (cross your fingers) on to a little house! That is the plan anyway. Jamie will be working and taking some classes in Salt Lake, so it doesn't make sense to stay here in Orem any longer. I will miss it. Happy Valley and I have quite the history together. And I wouldn't change any of it. PLUS, it will soon be home to my fantastic sister + co. Yeah! Hooray for life changes that are kind of hard but worth it!

P.S. For a little happiness, visit Bonnie.
For some majorly awesome weirdness, visit Neil and Diana.

It's Pearl's party and she'll cry if she wants to (and cry, and cry...)

My Utah sisters-in-law threw me a lovely baby shower a week ago. Everything was delicious and darling and delightful. They are awesome!

(Sorry, I only have this picture!)

Black and White makes me feel like a better photographer than I am.

Pearl finally has a middle name: Grace. Named after me, as well as a couple cool cousins and an equally cool great-grandma. I realize the name is short on the syllabage, but I just wasn't coming up with much. I also realize syllabage isn't a word.

I think she's coming into her "I'm going to be really fussy all the time" stage, but that's ok because we love her so much. We're just feeling a bit tired. The other night I finished feeding her and nudged Jamie awake to hand me her pacifier. After a good minute of rummaging around and complaining, "Where is it?" he finally turned to me and said, "Wait, you wanted a silver platter, right?"** We laughed and laughed at that one. Then we went to sleep because we're tired.

Two kids is challenging but I can tell it's going to get really fun in the near future- maybe when Milo realizes the pacifier goes in Pearl's mouth instead of jamming it in her eye and inciting screams (from both Pearl and mommy). Cross your fingers for me!

**Correction: Jamie says it was a silver cookie sheet. Much more normal.

Still here

I should be posting multitudinous photos of Pearl by now, but thanks to my faulty gall bladder, her first two weeks of life went largely undocumented. She'll probably need lots of therapy.

Instead, here's what instantly came to mind when I met my surgeon in the ER. SO INTIMIDATING. He WAS the library cop from Seinfeld. He kind of made me feel guilty for feeling bad. Watch this and just imagine he's taking about organs and blood and gross things.
